Life Drawing

I maintain observational life-drawing practice and was especially productive during the 2020-2022 lockdown via online life-drawing using both analogue and digital drawing methods.

For reasons of space and to minimise site engagement time I have

limited examples to a carefully curated selection of recent storyboard work, with a focus on commercials and short-form animation in a variety of styles.

Past work has included storyboards for long-form pre-digital projects such as "Highlander" (1986) and "One Day In September" (2001) for Passion Pictures and digital storyboards for TV series "101 Dalmation Street", (2016) "Moominvalley" (storyboard revisionist) and "Watership Down" (2015) examples of which I may add in future or can send upon client request.

Since most clients want to see evidence of an understanding of film language and an ability to work quickly with traditional drawing skills I have kept the focus of the work on this site with that in mind.

However, a recent addition to my work now includes AI image and video generation using a variety of tools for pre-visualisation and concepting, so far primarily for live-action projects.
